Arthur E. Humphrey, our beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2026, at the age of 98. Born on November 9, 1927, Arthur lived a remarkable life filled with curiosity, dedication, and an unwavering love for his family. Arthur was a man of quiet strength and immense kindness. He approached life with a gentle humor and a deep sense of responsibility. He took immense pride in his career as a chemical engineer, solving complex problems with a methodical mind and a practical approach. But it was his heart that truly defined him. He was the rock of our family, always there with a listening ear, a wise word, and an endless supply of freshly baked cookies. He had a special way of making everyone feel seen and valued. His garden was legendary – a vibrant tapestry of flowers and vegetables he tended with the same care he gave to his work. We'll always remember the smell of his workshop, filled with the scent of sawdust and the sound of his contented humming while he built something beautiful for us. Arthur's greatest joy was found in his family. He cherished every moment with his wife of 65 years, Eleanor, his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
