Claire Maurier—born Odette-Michelle-Suzanne, though to us she was simply Claire—laughed like a door thrown wide open to spring. Family was her compass, and she loved with a stubborn, tender persistence. She showed up—for birthdays, for heartbreaks, for the small, unremarkable Tuesdays—bearing jars of fig jam and advice that tasted like warm bread. With her children and grandchildren, she was both anchor and sail, teaching them to dream in color while keeping roots deep in kindness.
