Corky Withrow walked into a room like he was rounding third and spotting home: eager, bright, and ready to laugh. Family was his favorite lineup, and he coached us all with patience and soft hands. He and his wife made a home that smelled like Sunday gravy and possibility, and he could turn a grandkid’s scraped knee into a lesson in courage with a wink and a goofy joke.
