I have so many cherished memories of Edgardo – like the time he tried to teach my kids how to dribble, resulting in a hilarious flurry of fumbles and laughter. He had a way of making even the most mundane moments feel special, and his infectious enthusiasm was truly a gift. He wasn’t just a basketball player; he was a storyteller, a jokester, and a constant source of encouragement. Edgardo’s life was undoubtedly shaped by his incredible journey as a Filipino Olympic basketball player. To be part of a team that represented your country on the world stage, especially in the 1960 Rome Olympics, was a monumental achievement, and he carried that pride with him always. He represented the Philippines in six national teams, demonstrating a dedication and skill that were truly inspiring. But beyond the accolades, Edgardo was a man of deep family.
