Eduard Apalkov
January 1, 1970 - March 11, 2026 (Age 56)
Eduard Ivanovich Apalkov, our beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, left us on March 7, 2026, at the age of 56. Born on January 30, 1970, in Stavropol, Eduard's life was defined by his unwavering dedication to his family and his passion for football. He was a man of few words but many actions, always showing his love through quiet support and steadfast presence.
As a professional footballer, Eduard played as a defender for PFC Dynamo Stavropol and FC Belshina Bobruisk, where he earned respect for his tactical intelligence and reliability on the field. His teammates remember him as someone who could read the game like a book and who never backed down from a challenge. But it was off the field where Eduard truly shone. He had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome, whether it was inviting the whole team over for his famous borscht or spending hours helping his children with their homework.
Family was everything to Eduard. His wife, Natasha, was the love of his life, and together they built a home filled with warmth, laughter, and the wonderful chaos of raising three children. He could often be found in his garden, tending to his tomatoes with the same patience and care he showed everyone he loved. His grandchildren brought him particular joy, and he never missed an opportunity to teach them about football, nature, or the simple pleasure of watching clouds drift by on a summer afternoon.
Eduard's legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched. He was the friend who would drop everything to help, the coach who inspired young players to believe in themselves, and the father who taught by example that success means nothing without family and integrity. Though we will miss his gentle smile, his practical wisdom, and his ability to fix anything that broke, we find comfort knowing that his spirit of kindness and dedication continues in all of us who were fortunate enough to know him. Eduard Apalkov may have left the field, but he'll forever be our MVP.
