Envoi Allen

January 1, 2014 - March 15, 2026 (Age 12)

It’s hard to believe we’re saying goodbye to Envoi Allen. Just six short years, but what a life he packed in! Born on January 1st, 2014, in France, he arrived a whirlwind of energy and spirit, and he never slowed down. We were so lucky to have him grace our lives, even if his time with us was far too brief. He left us peacefully on March 15th, 2026, after a sudden heart attack – a cruel twist for such a vibrant soul. Envoi was, quite simply, a star. We first saw his brilliance at Ballinaboola, a point-to-point where he absolutely blew everyone away, winning by a staggering ten lengths. You could just *feel* the power and determination radiating from him. Watching him run was exhilarating; a blur of bay muscle and unwavering focus. David and Patricia Thompson, with the keen eye of Tom Malone, recognized that spark and brought him to Cheveley Park Stud, where he continued to shine under the expert care of Gordon Elliott. He was a champion, yes, but he was also so much more than that. He had a playful glint in his eye, a gentle nuzzle when he knew he was being fussed over, and a quiet dignity that commanded respect. I’ll always remember the way he’d stand patiently while the stable hands tended to him, a picture of calm amidst the bustle. Beyond the races, Envoi loved the simple things. A good roll in the grass, a comforting scratch behind the ears, the camaraderie of the stable. He formed such a strong bond with the team at Cheveley Park – they weren’t just his trainers and handlers, they were his friends. He brought so much joy to everyone who knew him, a feeling of excitement and pride that was infectious. He inspired us all with his athleticism and his unwavering spirit. Envoi Allen leaves behind a legacy of speed, strength, and a whole lot of heart. He will be deeply missed by David and Patricia Thompson, the entire team at Cheveley Park Stud, Gordon Elliott and his staff, and countless racing fans who were captivated by his talent. He may be gone, but the memory of his incredible runs, his gentle nature, and the joy he brought to our lives will stay with us forever. Rest easy, beautiful boy. You were truly one of a kind.
