It’s with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Erroll Davis, who left this world on April 29, 2026, at the age of 81. Erroll was a man who lived a full and vibrant life, leaving an indelible mark on everyone he met. Born in 1945, Erroll wasn’t one for quiet reflection; he was a force of nature, always ready with a kind word, a helping hand, or a surprising and often hilarious story. I’ll never forget the time he tried to teach my dog, Buster, to play poker – Buster wasn't impressed, but Erroll’s enthusiasm was infectious! Erroll’s life was a testament to hard work and dedication. He served as a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, and even though his time there was brief, he approached his duties with integrity and a genuine desire to serve his community. Beyond his professional life, Erroll was a devoted family man. Family was the cornerstone of his world, and he made sure everyone felt loved and included. He had a remarkable ability to make you feel instantly comfortable, like you’d known him your whole life. But Erroll wasn’t just about politics and family; he found joy in the simple things. He was an avid gardener, always coaxing beautiful blooms from the earth, and a passionate collector of vintage stamps. He could spend hours poring over them, tracing the history and stories hidden within each little piece of paper. He possessed a mischievous twinkle in his eye and a ready smile, and he always had a way of bringing laughter into a room. He taught us all the importance of appreciating the small moments, the beauty in the everyday, and the power of a good, hearty laugh. Erroll’s legacy extends far beyond his accomplishments. He was a man of deep compassion and unwavering kindness, someone who always put others first. He touched countless lives with his generosity and his genuine concern for the well-being of those around him. He will be profoundly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
