Gerda’s life was a testament to devotion, first and foremost to her dear Walter. Their love story was the quiet, profound kind, built on shared mornings with strong coffee and an easy companionship that radiated from their home. After Walter passed in 1974, she carried his spirit with her, not with sadness, but with a quiet strength. She kept his favorite teacup on the shelf, and her eyes would get that soft, faraway look when she spoke of him. That same capacity for love overflowed to her family, creating an anchor of unconditional support.
