He was the heartbeat of our family, a man with a laugh that could fill a room and a handshake that promised loyalty. I’ll always remember him not on the pitch, but in his garden in Broughty Ferry, proudly showing off his roses while wearing his old Dundee scarf, muttering about the “lack of a decent left-footed crosser” among the local lads playing in the park. That was Gordon—football was in his soul, but it was the simple, shared moments that truly mattered.
