Govind Parmar

It’s with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Govind Parmar, on March 7th, 2026, at the age of 72. Govind was a truly remarkable man, a pillar of our community and a friend to so many. I’ll always remember his infectious laugh – a warm, booming sound that could light up any room. He had a wonderful way of making everyone feel heard and valued, whether you were a close friend or just someone he’d recently met. He wasn’t one for grand pronouncements, but his kindness and generosity were always evident. Govind dedicated his life to serving others, first as a dedicated member of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly, and later as a respected figure in the political landscape. But for me, his true passion wasn’t politics, though he navigated that world with grace and integrity. It was in the simple things: a good book, a long walk in the countryside, and sharing a hearty meal with loved ones. He had a deep appreciation for art and music, and often shared stories of his travels and experiences with such vivid detail. He truly lived life to the fullest, embracing every opportunity for connection and growth. He always had time for a listening ear and a comforting word, a quality that will be deeply missed. His family was at the heart of everything he did. He loved his wife, [Wife's Name], with a devotion that was evident in every gesture. He will be remembered not just for what he accomplished, but for the warmth, generosity, and love he shared with everyone he met.
