Harriet Louise Parker

Harriet Louise Parker, 86, of Tampa, Florida, passed away on February 6, 2026, surrounded by family. Born in Plant City, she spent her life nurturing people and places, from her backyard citrus trees to the neighborhood families she welcomed with sweet tea and warm conversation. Harriet worked for decades with the Hillsborough County Library System and later devoted her retirement to Meals on Wheels and the Hyde Park farmers market. She was a devoted mother, a talented seamstress, and a steadfast friend whose front porch was a gathering place for stories and laughter. Harriet is survived by her children, Thomas Parker and Denise Parker-Summers; four grandchildren; and a wide circle of friends who considered her family.
