Louis Joseph Thibodeaux, 82, of Lafayette, Louisiana, passed away on February 5, 2026. A proud Cajun and devoted family man, Louis spent his career in the oil and gas industry before retiring to the life he loved best: music, food, and family.
He played accordion at community dances, cooked a legendary gumbo every Mardi Gras, and never missed an LSU game. Louis is survived by his wife, Claire; three children; nine grandchildren; and the many neighbors who felt like kin.
