It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Magaly Achach Solís, born January 1, 1955, and peacefully departed this life on April 14, 2026, at the age of 71. Magaly was a woman of immense strength, grace, and a truly remarkable spirit – a spirit that touched so many lives. I am so incredibly grateful to have had the privilege of calling her my mother. Growing up, Magaly was always the one with a twinkle in her eye and a ready smile. She had a knack for making everyone feel seen and valued. I remember countless family gatherings filled with her infectious laughter and delicious home-cooked meals. She wasn’t one for grand gestures, but her love was always evident in the small things – a warm hug, a thoughtful phone call, or simply being present. She possessed an unwavering determination and a deep commitment to serving her community, a dedication that led her to a distinguished career in Mexican politics. Her time as Mayor of Benito Juárez and her service in the Chamber of Deputies were testament to her passion for making a difference. Beyond her political achievements, Magaly was a devoted family woman. She cherished her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with all her heart. She instilled in them the importance of hard work, integrity, and compassion. She was a constant source of encouragement and wisdom, always ready to offer a listening ear and a piece of advice. She found joy in simple pleasures – a good book, a walk in nature, and spending time with loved ones. Her garden was a reflection of her soul: vibrant, full of life, and always welcoming. Magaly’s legacy extends far beyond her political career and her family. She inspired countless people with her dedication to public service and her unwavering belief in the power of community. She taught us to be resilient, to be kind, and to always strive to make the world a better place. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. May she rest in peace.
