Marcus Isaiah Williams

Marcus Isaiah Williams, 33, a talented musician, youth advocate, and beloved son, passed away on January 31, 2026, in Chicago, Illinois. Though his time was short, his impact was immeasurable. A gifted saxophonist, Marcus played with the Chicago Jazz Ensemble and taught music at South Side Youth Center. Music wasn't just his talent—it was his ministry. He believed every kid deserved access to art and beauty, regardless of their zip code. Marcus overcame incredible challenges to become the first in his family to graduate college. Instead of leaving his neighborhood behind, he came back to lift it up, mentoring hundreds of young people through his nonprofit, Rhythm & Reach. His laugh could light up a room, his music could heal a soul, and his belief in people could move mountains. He is survived by his mother Sharon Williams, siblings Tyrell and Alicia, fiancée Jasmine Parker, and the countless lives he transformed through love and music.
