Maria Guadalupe Rodriguez

Maria Guadalupe Rodriguez, 80, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2026, surrounded by three generations of family. Maria was the heart of her family, known for her incredible cooking, warm hospitality, and fierce love. Her home was always open, her table always full, and her heart always generous. She and her husband José built a successful family restaurant, Casa Rodriguez, which has served the community for 45 years. Maria's recipes and traditions live on in her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, José; seven children; 23 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and her sister Rosa. A rosary will be held at San Fernando Cathedral on January 27th at 7 PM, with funeral mass on January 28th at 10 AM. The family welcomes all to celebrate Maria's life with mariachi music and her favorite dishes at Casa Rodriguez following the service.
