Michael Aspinall

Michael Aspinall, 86, died on July 10, 2026. Michael Aspinall was known publicly as a British musicologist. He lectured and wrote on singers and singing, contributed to collections of essays, and provided commentaries for liner notes of historical recordings. He was educated at Manchester Grammar School and Manchester University, then went to London to study singing with Anthony Benskin.
