Muguette Dini, our beloved Muguette, passed away peacefully on April 9th, 2026, at the remarkable age of 86. She left this world surrounded by the deep love of her family, having lived a life as rich and full as the Rhône valley she represented. She carried the heart of a community leader long before she stepped into the Senate chamber. Remember how she'd spend hours on the phone, listening to constituents, her voice steady and reassuring? Or how she'd bring homemade tarts to the local café, her laughter echoing as she shared stories of her childhood in Lyon? She found immense joy in those simple connections, in the politics of everyday life, fighting for the people she represented with a passion that was both fierce and deeply compassionate. Her garden was her sanctuary, a place of quiet reflection where she nurtured not just plants, but also the spirit of those who visited.
