Phil Woolas

January 1, 1960 - March 15, 2026 (Age 66)

My dear Phil, our hearts areshattered, yet overflowing with love as we say goodbye. You were more than just family; you were our rock, our laughter, our guiding light. From the moment you walked into our lives, you brought an infectious energy and a warmth that could melt the coldest room. Remember those endless Sunday afternoons, you and Dad in the garden, arguing passionately about the best way to prune the roses, even though Mum always said you’d never get it right? You’d just chuckle, wipe the sweat from your brow, and say, "Just wait until they bloom, love, then we’ll see who’s laughing!" Your passion for the environment was fierce, that fire in your eyes when you talked about protecting our planet – it inspired us all. And who could forget the sheer joy on your face when you scored that winning goal in the office football match, or the way you’d lose yourself in a good book, often nodding off with your glasses askew? You had this incredible ability to make everyone feel seen and valued, whether it was a constituent needing help or a friend needing a listening ear. Your kindness was your superpower, woven into everything you did. We’ll miss your booming laugh, your sharp wit, and the way you’d always find the silver lining. You fought your illness with such dignity and strength, teaching us all about courage. You are deeply, profoundly loved, and your spirit will forever be woven into the fabric of our lives. Rest easy, our beloved Phil.
