Born in Göttingen on January 1, 1937, Reinhold lived a life filled with passion and purpose, leaving an indelible mark on the world, both through his creative pursuits and his unwavering generosity. He was, in a word, unforgettable. Many of you will remember Reinhold as the brilliant mind behind countless board games – over 125, to be exact! He was the creator of "The Game," a dice game that brought so much joy to families and friends. But beyond the games, Reinhold was a dedicated geologist, fascinated by the earth’s hidden stories. I’ll always remember him explaining complex geological concepts with such enthusiasm, his eyes sparkling with wonder. He had a knack for making the world feel bigger and more exciting, whether you were exploring a new board game or examining a rock sample. He could spend hours lost in thought, often with a twinkle in his eye, contemplating the mysteries of the universe. Reinhold’s love for his family was the cornerstone of his life. He was the kind of person who always had time to listen, offer advice, or simply share a laugh.
