It’s with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our beloved Rémy, who left us on February 28th, just shy of his 92nd birthday. To us, he wasn’t the “Honorable Member of the National Council” from the newspapers, though he wore that role with immense dignity for twelve years. He was first and foremost the heart of our family—a devoted husband to his cherished Marguerite, a patient and playful father to his children, and the most adoring “Papi” to his grandchildren. I’ll forever remember the quiet joy on his face during Sunday lunches, the way his eyes would crinkle as he listened to everyone’s stories, always making each person feel they were the most important person in the room. Rémy found his simple, profound happiness in the rhythms of home and nature.
