He had this incredible knack for making everyone feel seen and valued, whether he was coaching the neighborhood kids in goal or simply listening over a cup of coffee. His life was football, but it was also so much more. He played with a calm intensity that belied his size, his movements almost balletic between the posts. He'd tell us stories of the roaring crowds at Inter, the fierce rivalries, and the sheer joy of the game. Even after retiring, his passion never faded – he'd spend hours tending his garden, his hands rough from work but always gentle, or crafting intricate models of famous stadiums. He was fiercely proud of his Italian heritage, and his love for his family was the true engine driving him.
