It’s with a heavy heart, yet filled with so much gratitude for a life so fully lived, that we announce the passing of Stasys Baranauskas on March 2nd, 2026, at the age of 63. Born on January 1st, 1963, Stasys leaves behind a legacy of passion, dedication, and unwavering warmth that touched everyone fortunate enough to know him. To many, he was a familiar name on the football field, a talented midfielder who proudly represented Lithuania, earning 14 caps and scoring a memorable goal. But to those of us who loved him, he was simply Stasys – a kind, generous, and endlessly entertaining man. I’ll always cherish the memories of Stasys’ infectious laughter and his competitive spirit, whether he was on the pitch or engaged in one of his many hobbies. He poured his heart into the game, always striving for excellence, but never forgetting the importance of camaraderie and good sportsmanship.
