Sue Wagner

January 1, 1940 - March 18, 2026 (Age 86)

Sue Wagner, born January 1st, 1940, and peacefully passed away on March 18th, 2026, leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and a truly remarkable spirit. To know Sue was to know warmth, a quick smile, and a ready ear for anyone who needed it. I have so many memories of her – like the time she baked everyone a pie for the church bake sale, even though she’d accidentally used too much cinnamon! Or how she always remembered everyone’s birthdays, sending a little card with a handwritten note that made you feel truly seen. She had a knack for making people feel comfortable and valued, a gift she shared generously with everyone she met. She wasn’t one for grand gestures, but her quiet acts of generosity spoke volumes. Sue’s life was dedicated to service, first as a mother and wife, and then as a dedicated public servant. As the first woman to serve as Lieutenant Governor of Nevada, she broke barriers and championed issues she believed in. But beyond her political accomplishments, Sue was a devoted family woman. She cherished her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, showering them with love and support. Her home was always open, a place where family and friends could gather for laughter, good food, and heartfelt conversations. She instilled in her family a strong sense of integrity, compassion, and the importance of making a positive impact on the world. Sue’s passions were as vibrant as her personality. She loved gardening, filling her yard with beautiful flowers and vegetables. She was a voracious reader, always seeking out new knowledge and perspectives. And she found immense joy in spending time with her beloved dog, Buster – a furry companion who was always by her side. She approached life with a quiet optimism and a belief in the power of community. She was a true advocate for those less fortunate and always willing to lend a hand. Sue’s impact on so many lives is immeasurable. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were touched by her kindness. She taught us the importance of empathy, perseverance, and living a life filled with purpose. Though she may be gone, her spirit will continue to inspire us to be better, to be kinder, and to make the world a little brighter. She lived a full and meaningful life, and we are so grateful for the time we had with her.
