Walter James McKenna

Walter James McKenna, 92, of Missoula, Montana, passed away on February 4, 2026. Walter was a forest ranger for decades and spent his life protecting the wilderness he loved. He shared his love of fly fishing on the Clark Fork River, led trail crews in the Bitterroots, and welcomed neighbors with a wave and a story. Walter is survived by his daughter, Anne; son, Douglas; and a large family who carry forward his deep respect for the land.
