To the world, he was a dedicated public servant and a respected Member of Parliament, but to us, he was simply Wanlop—the man with the warmest smile, the quickest wit, and a heart that seemed to have infinite room for everyone he met. Wanlop lived a life defined by service, not just to his country through his years in the House of Representatives, but to his community and his family every single day. He carried his political career with a rare kind of grace; even in the heat of debate, he remained a man of integrity and kindness. He believed deeply in the power of listening, a trait that made him a formidable leader and an even better friend.
