As a founding member of Area Code 615 and Barefoot Jerry, and with his own studio, Cinderella Sound, he was the steady hand that helped so many songs find their voice. He was never one to chase the spotlight; he found his joy in the craft itself, in the scratch of a pick and the perfect chord that made a song finally sing. He poured his heart into every track he touched, and you can hear that love in the music he left behind. Wayne’s heart was as big as his talent. He was the kind of person who would drop everything to lend a hand, to offer a listening ear, or to share a plate of his famous fried chicken with a neighbor in need. He was a devoted husband, a cherished father, and a grandfather who spoiled his kids rotten, teaching them how to find wonder in the simple things. His love for his family was the bedrock of his life. We will miss his presence, his humor, and the quiet strength he carried. But his legacy isn't just in the records he helped create, but in the kindness he showed and the joy he spread. He taught us how to live with integrity and a light heart, and for that, we are endlessly grateful. You left an echo in all of us, Wayne, and we will keep listening.
