Pedro Lopez, born February 19, 1963, in Nuevo Casas Grandes, Chihuahua, Mexico, died August 12, 2026, in Phoenix, Arizona. He was 63. At fifteen, Pedro left Mexico to start a new chapter in the United States, settling in Phoenix and attending Phoenix Union High School. He became a United States citizen and built a life of steady work, laboring at Sky Harbor Airport, Amazon warehouse, and Walmart warehouse over the years. But those job titles only tell part of the story. Pedro was the life of the party—the kind of person who could walk into a room and brighten it just by being there. He had a gift for making people smile and a generosity that was legendary among those who knew him. He would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation, and he was always there when someone needed him. Pedro's soft spot was dogs. He especially adored his own dog, Baby, who was a constant companion and source of joy. Those who knew him remember not just his kindness, but the ease with which he gave it—no fanfare, no expectation of return, just a genuine warmth that made people feel seen and cared for. He is survived by his brother, Dennis Aguilar (and Dennis's wife Carolyn), his nephews Jose Luis Aguilar and Anthony Aguilera, and his loving Aunt Estella Lopez Ortiz, along with several cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Magdalena Lopez Aguilar, and his stepfather, Luis Bustos Aguilar.
