Vernon W. Thomas, 94, passed away on July 29, 2026. He was born on August 27, 1931, in Tuckerman, Arkansas. In 1952, Vernon moved to Arizona, where he began working on farms in the Chandler area. His strong work ethic and dedication led him to become a bookkeeper and later the office manager for a farm, continuing a lifetime of commitment to Arizona agriculture. Outside of work, Vernon enjoyed fishing, a pastime that brought him peace and happiness throughout the years. He treasured the simple pleasures of life and the time he spent with family and friends. Vernon is survived by his beloved wife, Lou Ann (Ann); his son, Danny; two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Nathan; and two great-grandchildren. He will be remembered for his hard work, quiet strength, and kind heart. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 21, 2026, at 11 am, at Roosevelt Baptist Church in Roosevelt, AZ.
